FiLM DialoGue in typOgraphy?!
I had to post this to go with the previous post on helvetica type…some lil’ creative youTuber (username: chrissilich), has recreated a scene from one of my fave movies, V for Vendetta, in nothing but Typography!
If your students are working with typeface, digital video design, then the “kinetic typography” videos act as great resources.
Hmmm….I have seen this on TNT or one of those cable networks as advertisements for whatever movie they will play 50 times a month. Anywho…

HELVETICA, the superstarra font type!
WHO luuuvs typefaces?!
I do.
What a nerd quality!
Eh, in true edutechgEEk fashion…
I came across this documentary (an actual feature length) a few months back…Helvetica A Documentary Film celebrates the 50th birthday (2007) of the great and widely used helvetica font.
Many edutechgEEks work with visual communication in our document layouts…it is very easy to fall in love with the art of visual design, especially for educational purposes. So, when I came across the actual documentary, I thought, “how beautiful, educational video at its best.”
Check out a clip of the doc below or the visit the website for the actual film. The music video (2nd video) is really nice, folks!
